Here we go
I have had many requests to start a blog so here we go.  Who am I?  Wife. Mother of 3 young children. Student of wine. I am a CSW (Certified Specialist of Wine) and Master of Wine candidate.  I believe that all of us (wine lovers) are students of wine in one form or another.  Expert or novice there is always something to learn.  There needs to be a desire to satisfy the love to learn especially once the student feels like they have reached the comfortable threshhold of information saturation.  We all have something to share however the intimidation factor prevents the free flow of commentary.  This impedes wine lovers at every level of learning.  Many times, people are afraid ask questions and to share information because they "might be wrong."  I start off every wine tasting, seminar and dinner by firmly asserting that there are no stupid questions.   There is so much to be learned in an interactive group.  Honestly, some of the most out of the park, odd ball stuff usually comes from the most confident, know-it-all, "I have read every issue of Wine Spectator" kind of people - oh yeah, and salespeople.

I would like to share some of what I learn on this eno-journey with those who might be interested.  Even if no one ever reads this blog I need the writing practice as I prepare for the Master of Wine exam.  I am not a writer.  I am not polished.   I have a lot of information swirling around in my head - fact, fiction, opinion, and affection.  This blog will be an outlet for me to organize my thoughts and insights and an opportunity to gain from others.

This will be an outlet for independent, personal commentary.  I do not sell wine.   I will comment on issues I am studying as I cover the syllabus for the MW exam.  I will report on classes, tastings, places and people etc.   On the whole I try to avoid large advertising campaigns put into a journalistic format.  However, I do feel that these publications offer an important insight into the wine information consumers are being hand fed.  So I may comment from time to time on something I read there.

I look forward comments you might have.
